HomeNews /  Surgery for Bryan--- TODAY!

Bryan is having
Surgery Today
at 5:00 pm

We have a few prayer requests this afternoon.

First, Bryan broke his left foot about 3 months ago and the doctors had hoped that, given time, it would heal itself. That has not happened so, the plan is for Bryan to have surgery this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Central time in the Hospital Clinica Biblica in San Jose, Costa Rica. We are sharing this with you asking that you keep Bryan, Beth and the kiddos in your prayers and also, please lift up the doctors and nurses involved in this procedure.

This should not be any kind of major surgery but it will require the cleaning out of bone area and inserting two titanium screws. The doctors have told us to expect a recuperation time of 6 weeks.

This leads to the second prayer request.

On the schedule right now  through the end of the year, we have scheduled over a dozen events including hosting Christmas events for over 3000 children in 6 different, disenfranchised areas of Costa Rica. Not only do we have these Christmas events (which also includes the collection of these gifts from individuals and businesses which takes weeks) but we also have our regular medical/dental/optometry ministry events and concerts for hundreds of people during this same time.

We need your prayers for all of these events and for Bryan to have the wisdom to know what he can and cannot do during this recuperation

And, thirdly is for our finances regarding the financial partnership and support of and with us and God's ministry in Costa Rica. We don't like to talk about this part of ministry but, with the cut in support of one of our primary church partners, the increase in cost of living here in Costa Rica as well as substantial increase in our international health insurance premiums, we are in a very precarious situation from a financial position.

  • If you have been partnering with our family and God's ministry here, our family thanks you. We truly can not do this work without your partnership. For us to be able to minister to, share the gospel of Jesus with and to just plain ol' love on and pray with the people of Costa Rica, we have to have partners just like you. Thank you!!!
  • If you at one time supported the ministry here and now do not, we would ask that you prayerfully consider resuming that financial support. If you suspended supporting the ministry here for a specific reason, we would love for you to share that with us...or if you have a question or several questions that we could answer, then we would love the opportunity to answer those questions. Just email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the question(s) or if it is easier or more convenient, we can Skype with you.
  • If you have never supported the ministry here, we would also ask that you prayerful begin supporting God's work in Costa Rica with your financial partnership.
That's it. Three Prayer Requests.
  1. Bryan's surgery this afternoon at 5:00 pm central time,
  2. The upcoming events and Bryan's recuperation,
  3. Our ministry finances.

Radical blessings and have an awesome day,

Bryan, Beth, Kirsten, Drew and Jesse Tatum
